Congrats! You made it to the second post on this Substack. Believe it or not, that *second step* is something that most people don’t take when embarking upon something difficult. You’ve already done it! Be proud of you - I am.
In some ways, everyone’s job search is unique to them. For the most part, however, the fundamentals remain the same.
The most successful job seekers:
Develop a structured strategy with repeatable steps (consistency is key)
Maintain a mindset that sets them up to win and helps them cope with the inevitable, unpleasant feelings that no one is immune from
Understand how their unique set of skills, interests, experiences, and personality traits can best be leveraged
Employ best practices for things that everyone needs, like resumes and LinkedIn profiles
Cut through the noise, bullshit, and conflicting “advice” in order to stay focused on the things that make a difference
Are always refining their ability to identify which things to focus on and which to ignore
As we roll along, I’ll publish content that supports you with all of these things, and more.
Ready for what’s next?
You don’t have to read these posts in the order I publish them. It’s okay to jump around. I encourage you, however, to not immediately skip over topics that, at first glance, don’t seem like something you need help with. There’s *always* more growth available to you.
